WHAT:      Conference on Guardianship & Decisional Support:  A National Perspective

WHEN:      Wednesday, Dece,ber 6, 2017, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

WHY:   This conference will explore the social, clinical and legal status of guardianship and decisional support in 2017, both in Massachusetts and nationally.  It will include an examination of decisional capacity, proposed guardianship reform, restoration of rights and alternatives to guardianship, and a heightened awareness of autonomy for those subject to guardianship. The conference is directed at a broad audience of professional and lay guardians, social workers, case managers, nurses, geriatric care managers, attorneys, first responders, and others working in the field.  Applications for CEUs have been submitted to the National Association of Social Workers, the Center for Guardianship Certification, the National Academy of Case Management, Commission for Case Manager Certification, and for Nursing Certification at all levels.  Please contact us for updates on the status of any of these applications.
