The Massachusetts Guardianship Policy Institute is excited to offer a new initiative – Guardianship Rounds.
Based on the concept of hospital Grand Round, we will begin with a case presentation from an experienced guardian who will discuss the major issues and features of a particular case as well as the case outcome, if it has already occurred. We will then open up the floor to questions, comments and suggestions from participants. In addition to the educational program, the event will offer lunch and a networking opportunity to guardians in the New England area.
Our first Guardianship Rounds will be held on March 1, 2019 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Guardian Community Trust (1 Elm Square, Andover MA). The case involves a client whom the guardian, North Shore Elder Services, believes is a good candidate for Supported Decision Making and the North Shore Elder Services Program Manager and Case Manager will discuss the pros and cons of such a transition during their presentation.
We always encourage new cases and participants! If you are interested in attending we would love to hear from you!
