The Massachusetts Guardianship Academy is excited to offer a new initiative – Guardianship Rounds. Based on the concept of hospital Grand Round, we will begin with a case presentation from an experienced guardian who will discuss the major issues and features of a particular case as well as the case outcome, if it has already occurred. We will then open up the floor to questions, comments and suggestions from participants. In addition to the educational program, the event will offer lunch and a networking opportunity to guardians in the New England area.

This case presentation will be from our own Traci Cucinotta, who is an experienced Guardian, as well as an LICSW, and holds a Master’s Degree in Bioethics. She will present a case in that calls into question end of life decisions for a middle-aged gentleman with multi-medical co-morbidities, as well as behavioral health challenges. We will then open up the floor to questions, comments, and suggestions from participants.
