Boston Globe looks at risks to frail persons in the home from unscrupulous home health aides, including serious injury and death of disabled or elderly individuals. Decisional support through an Office of Public Guardian, which the Institute advocates, would provide a layer of state oversight that presently does not exist to prevent the kind of victimization and abuse described in this article.
